In like a Lion, Out like a...Lion if you ask me!

This month has been such a blur and April/May are shaping up to be extremely busy as well. Both Marsh and I have to travel for work; then there are doctors appointments, home repairs and furniture buying for Hadley's big girl room, church stuff going on, the swimming lessons continuing...I can't wait for those few days at the beach in late May. The big question will be whether or not a computer travels with us.

We attended the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt yesterday and even though it was FREEZING we had lots of fun. Hadley loved it and did a wonderful job of finding lots of eggs which turned into lots of candy for Mommy & Daddy. Thankfully Tootsie Rolls made up the majority and they aren't too fattening. LOL.

Marsh ran the ING Half Marathon yesterday and I was jealous :) He didn't have much time to train but still ran it in 1:52. I ran 3.6 miles on my treadmill and felt as though I had run 13. This extra weight in the front is giving me a backache!!

I had my 24 week appointment this morning and all is well. We see the specialist again next week; then back in for the yummy glucose drink at the end of April. But enough about me...Debbie hurry up with the NEWS!!

Go Green!

Hadley celebrated St. Patty's Day a couple of days early wearing a pretty green dress to church. I noticed my husband walked out the door with an orange shirt this morning so I guess he wants to get pinched all day. Sigh...and he is Irish to boot.

Hope everyone has a little luck on their side today. Enjoy the week and the madness around the corner...do you have your brackets filled out yet? We don't have to worry about Tech this year; I wanted them to pull off a miracle a la UGA last year and win the ACC tourney. I even had Charlie McPhail on the hook, as he said he would pay for Hadley's college education if Tech won it. Thanks alot Jackets!!! Guess we needed a tornado to hit the Dome like last year. Sheesh.

Things look good

We had another ultrasound yesterday with the perinatologist and while there is still a cyst showing he said it was very small and he expects it to disappear very soon. Everything else - heart, spine, hands, feet, lips, femur, etc looks great and our baby girl is right on target as far as growth. Right now she weighs approximately 15 ounces. So the chances for any defects are very slim at this point. We'll go back for a follow-up in four weeks and hopefully the cyst will be completely gone, thus giving us even better news. This baby is very active as she was standing on her head, grabbing her feet and flipping all around yesterday. Funny, she must know that Hadley is also trying to stand on her head and do somersaults around the house.

So thanks to all of you for the positive thoughts - keep them coming!

A fun weekend

We had a wonderful visit as always with Aunt Devon and on Friday we took the day off (I only worked until 10am and then called the office twice the remainder of the day - pretty good for me) to FINALLY go check out the Georgia Aquarium. We also saw the Titanic exhibit which was very cool. Hadley had a great time and the Beluga whales were by far her favorite "fish".

Saturday morning was Hadley's first swimming lesson. The class is aimed for toddlers so it's slightly chaotic but also very fun. Hadley loves the water and enjoying drinking as much of the pool as she could. So we have to work on keeping her mouth shut!! She did a great job and we're practicing our kicking now in the bathtub. We look forward to next Saturday. I especially enjoyed sporting my maternity tankini. HA HA!

Devon headed back yesterday and we miss her terribly. Even though Hadley only sees her every few months she acts like they are old friends. She was VERY attached to Devon during her visit. I know how she feels; I wish we lived closer! We'll see her again in July when she comes back to meet her new niece :)

Pretty in Pink

I hope Munson can provide Marsh enough male companionship to get him through these next several years as we'll welcome a baby girl in July. I'll be honest, we kind of had a heads up back at 12 weeks but the technician couldn't be certain, so we didn't put too much stock in her analysis at the time. Well, I probably did a little.

We did get some additional news; the ultrasound appears to show a couple of cysts on the baby's brain. Now thus far all of the bloodwork and of course the 12 week Ultrasound did not show any elevated risk of chromosome defects and these cysts may be normal. However they are also considers a "soft mark" for possible defects. So I am having another ultrasound next week with a specialist to get a better look. I've shed a few tears this evening as fear got the best of me but I know we are blessed no matter what.

On a funny note, Hadley found herself a bench to sit on. Thank goodness Belue is such a good sport!
