Week 36!!

Woo-hoo, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And my toes, just barely. I have all of my hair, nails, etc appointments set up so this kiddo can arrive anytime after July 10th. Yes, I have to be well groomed ya know?! Of course work is a different story - that will be madness no matter what - but hopefully things won't completely fall apart during my 6 weeks "off".

I am just ready to stop sleeping on my left side and to get rid of these charlie horses. I get awful calf cramps almost every night and they are so PAINFUL!! Especially when you are asleep (not an easy task for me right now) and then BAM.

New dilemma - it was announced today that one of my favorite people in the entire world - Sir Paul McCartney - will play at Piedmont Park on August 15th. I really really really really really can't miss this. But I am not sure how I can swing it with the month old that needs to be fed. So I am thinking...hotel room in midtown...any chance I can go out and come back in (it is a park after all)...I don't know. Of course I haven't run this by my hubby nor does he share in my adoration of Sir Paul (or the Beatles...nobody is perfect). Tough tough decisions!! LOL!!

Gotta get back to work. Here is a picture of Hadley on Father's Day, dressed up for church.

They Grow Up Too Fast!!

The rails went up Saturday morning; Saturday night my baby girl was sleeping soundly in her big girl bed. And all naps and night nights since have gone very smoothly. I guess the transition is complete! It was sad moving all of Hadley's things into her new room, separating out the "baby" toys and books...and I can't believe we're about to do it all again in 5 weeks. I bought a new round of nursing supplies and a couple of other baby items and wow, reality has set in! You would think the aches, pains and big belly would have clued me in sooner...no, it took walking down the Medela aisle at Target to for it all to click. My 34 week appt went fine yesterday; I am measuring at 33 weeks so they guestimate another baby in the 6-7 lb range. We'll find out soon enough!!!

Time

I wish I could blog/write while I run. I do my best thinking while running and I would be able to provide more interesting content here. I also want to start a sports blog but again, I just don't know how to squeeze that in. I keep thinking I'll figure out how to juggle everything but so far, no luck. My day starts at 5am and ends somewhere between 10pm-11pm and I don't even have to commute!!! I go from being frustrated to telling myself it's not a big deal and life goes on and to just hang in there and take it one day at a time. It's a daily conversation I have with myself.

May is/was a blur - I made it through 2 work audits and major home repairs. The last 2 weeks included a long weekend at the beach and a visit from my sister. Isle of Palms was very nice although the water was still freezing cold. Hadley didn't care one bit - we kept having to get her out so her lips would return to a normal color! I think our next beach trip will be to the Gulf though. I did get to run a 5k they held on the beach so that was fun. Competitive Amanda could not run this race (although under normal circumstances I think she would have won for the girls)...however Pregnant Amanda waddled along and did not walk it at all :) Getting a high five from Hadley at the finish was awesome. We had a fun visit with Aunt Devon as always and she'll be back in July after her new niece arrives.

Hadley has her big girl furniture and we just need to put up the rails; then we can start the transition. Maybe we'll put that on our "to do" list for this weekend. I also need to do some research on BPA free bottles...assuming this child will actually take a bottle unlike her big sis. Then I need to get some newborn clothes that are for summertime. We are running out of weekends to get this stuff done!!

OK I've had to stop and start this entry too many times so I guess it's goodbye for now.
